Atlantis SE V2: five Mesh coils from 18 to 80W

With the Atlantis SE V2, Aspire covers a particularly wide vaping range with a single coil family. It starts at 18W with the 0.6 ohm version and can climb all the way to 80W with the 0.15 ohm coil.

The principle remains the same throughout the range: a Mesh strip that provides a large contact surface with the cotton, allowing rapid heating and optimal vaporisation of your e-liquid.

But the vaping experience changes considerably from one version to another. The 0.6 ohm coil keeps things relatively calm and economical, while the 0.2 and 0.15 ohm versions are clearly there for opening up the airflow and annoying everyone around you.

Which Atlantis SE V2 coil should you choose?

• Atlantis SE V2 0.15 ohm: very airy DTL vape - 60 to 80W - recommended PG/VG ratios from 30/70 to 20/80 - recommended nicotine strengths up to 3 mg/mL
• Atlantis SE V2 0.2 ohm: airy DTL vape - 45 to 60W - recommended PG/VG ratios from 40/60 to 30/70 - recommended nicotine strengths up to 3 mg/mL
• Atlantis SE V2 0.3 ohm: very open RDL to DTL vape - 30 to 40W - recommended PG/VG ratios from 50/50 to 30/70 - recommended nicotine strengths up to 6 mg/mL
• Atlantis SE V2 0.4 ohm: RDL vape - 25 to 35W - recommended PG/VG ratios from 50/50 to 40/60 - recommended nicotine strengths up to 6 mg/mL

In short, the lower the resistance, the more power the coil requires and the more vapour it produces. The 0.15 and 0.2 ohm versions are therefore the most suitable for cloud chasers, while the 0.4 and 0.6 ohm coils offer a calmer vape that uses less e-liquid.

Mesh for flavour and responsiveness

The Atlantis SE V2 coils use a Mesh structure. Unlike a traditional resistance wire, Mesh creates a larger surface area that comes into greater contact with the cotton.

This design allows for faster and more evenly distributed heating, with fewer excessively hot spots across the coil. The result is consistent vapour production and more even flavour delivery.

This is particularly useful on the more powerful versions, where a large amount of e-liquid needs to be vaporised quickly without the coil falling behind.

Aspire Atlantis SE V2 coil compatibility

This new generation has been developed to accompany the Atlantis LX platform. It is notably compatible with:

• Aspire Atlantis LX Kit
• Atlantis MTL Cartridge
• Atlantis DTL Cartridge

Your choice of cartridge may also depend on the coil you use. Lower resistance values are naturally better suited to the DTL cartridge and its generous airflow, while higher resistance coils will pair better with the MTL cartridge.

Warning: the Atlantis SE V2 coils are a new generation. Do not confuse them with the older Atlantis SE 0.18, 0.3 and 0.35 ohm coils used notably with the Atlantis GT clearomiser.

How to prime an Atlantis SE V2 coil correctly

As always, a new coil deserves a few minutes of patience. Heating a coil while the cotton is still dry can be enough to permanently damage it from the very first puffs.

• install the new coil in your cartridge
• fill the tank with your e-liquid
• close the cartridge carefully
• wait around 10 minutes to allow the cotton to become fully saturated
• ideally start at the lower end of the recommended wattage range before gradually increasing the power

When should you replace your Atlantis SE V2 coil?

Even with proper priming, no coil lasts forever. Several signs usually indicate that it is time to open a new pack:

• flavours become less precise
• vapour production decreases
• the coil develops an unwanted taste
• a burnt taste starts to appear

Coil lifespan will depend in particular on the power used, how frequently you vape and the composition of your e-liquid. Very sweet recipes containing sucralose, for example, tend to clog the cotton more quickly.
