Atlantis MTL or DTL Cartridge: choose your vaping style

For the Atlantis LX, Aspire offers the Atlantis cartridge in two separately sold versions so you can adapt the vaping experience to your preferences.

• Atlantis MTL: fitted with a narrower drip tip to favour an open MTL to RDL vape
• Atlantis DTL: fitted with a wider drip tip to support a more open direct-to-lung inhale and greater vapour production

Simply choose the version that matches your vaping style. Each cartridge is sold individually.

5 mL, side fill and adjustable top airflow

Both Atlantis cartridges feature a 5 mL capacity, a comfortable volume for both moderate vaping and more e-liquid-hungry sub-ohm coils.

Filling is carried out from the side of the cartridge, while the adjustable top airflow helps reduce the risk of leaks while making airflow adjustment easy. Simply rotate the upper section of the cartridge.

A drip tip for each vaping style

The main difference between the MTL and DTL versions lies in the shape of their drip tip.

Atlantis MTL Cartridge

The MTL version features a narrower drip tip, designed to concentrate the airflow more and provide a tighter sensation. It is particularly well suited to coils used at moderate power and to vapers looking for a vape ranging from open MTL to RDL.

It pairs particularly well with the Atlantis SE V2 in 0.6, 0.4 and 0.3 ohm.

Atlantis DTL Cartridge

The DTL version uses a wider drip tip, better suited to airy vaping and low-resistance coils used at higher power. It is therefore aimed more at fans of sub-ohm vaping, DTL draws and large vapour production.

The Atlantis SE V2 in 0.2 and 0.15 ohm naturally fit this style, while the 0.3 ohm version allows for a more moderate DTL vape.

Good to know: Atlantis drip tips use an 810 format, making them easy to replace with another compatible mouthpiece.

Atlantis SE V2 and Atlantis SE: broad compatibility

The Atlantis cartridges retain one of the Aspire platform’s major advantages: they are compatible with the new Atlantis SE V2 coils, as well as the standard Atlantis SE coils.

You can therefore choose from several resistance values to adjust power, vapour production and draw sensation without completely changing your hardware.

With the Atlantis SE V2 range, resistance values extend from 0.6 ohm to 0.15 ohm, covering everything from a relatively moderate vape at around 18W to a much more powerful DTL vape reaching up to 80W.

Black, silver or gunmetal

The Atlantis cartridges are available in three finishes: black, silver and gunmetal. You can replace your tank with the same colour or create a little contrast with your Atlantis LX.

It may not change the way it vapes, but if you are replacing the cartridge anyway, you might as well build a setup that looks the way you want.

How to prime your Atlantis cartridge

• install an Atlantis SE V2 or Atlantis SE coil in the cartridge
• fill the tank with your e-liquid
• close the filling system properly
• wait around 10 minutes to allow the cotton inside the coil to become fully saturated
• ideally start at the lower end of the recommended wattage range before gradually increasing the power

Warning: the cartridge is sold without a coil. Remember to add a compatible Atlantis SE V2 or Atlantis SE coil before use.

When should you replace your Aspire Atlantis cartridge?

Unlike a cartridge with a built-in coil, the Atlantis cartridge does not need to be replaced when the coil reaches the end of its lifespan. Simply install a new compatible coil and continue using the same tank.

The cartridge itself mainly needs replacing if it shows signs of wear or damage, for example:

• a cracked or damaged tank
• a persistent leak despite the coil being correctly installed
• a damaged filling system that no longer closes properly
• a damaged airflow or connection
