How do VPrime Dual Mesh cartridges work?

Each VPrime Dual Mesh cartridge contains not one, but two Mesh strips. The compatible VPrime 2 pod can therefore use either one Mesh or both at the same time depending on the selected mode.

• Eco mode: a single Mesh is activated to reduce power, e-liquid consumption and battery usage
• Boost mode: both Mesh strips work together to increase the heating surface, power and vapour production

The result: the same cartridge can offer two different vaping behaviours without having to change the coil or replace the tank.

0.4 or 0.6 ohm cartridge: which one should you choose?

OXVA offers two versions of the VPrime Dual Mesh cartridges. Both let you make use of the VPrime 2's Eco and Boost modes, but they are aimed at slightly different vaping styles.

VPrime Dual Mesh 0.6 ohm

• Eco mode: 0.6 ohm, around 20 to 35 W
• Boost mode: Dual Mesh operation equivalent to around 0.3 ohm, approximately 35 to 50 W
• Vaping style: RDL in Eco, becoming noticeably airier in Boost

The 0.6 ohm version is the more versatile of the two. It lets you keep things relatively moderate in Eco mode, then produce much more vapour when both Mesh strips are activated.

VPrime Dual Mesh 0.4 ohm

• Eco mode: 0.4 ohm, around 30 to 40 W
• Boost mode: Dual Mesh operation equivalent to around 0.2 ohm, up to 60 W
• Vaping style: very open RDL to DTL

The 0.4 ohm version is aimed more at vapers who enjoy generous vapour production. Even in Eco mode, it keeps a fairly airy character, while Boost mode lets you make full use of the VPrime 2's capabilities.

Which e-liquids should you use with VPrime Dual Mesh cartridges?

These cartridges are designed for RDL to DTL vaping and therefore work particularly well with e-liquids containing a good proportion of vegetable glycerine.

• 0.6 ohm cartridge: PG/VG ratios from 50/50 to 40/60 are particularly suitable
• 0.4 ohm cartridge: PG/VG ratios from 40/60 to 30/70 are recommended, especially in Boost mode

Given the power levels involved, it is also better to use moderate nicotine strengths, particularly when using Boost mode.

An easy-to-fill 6 mL tank

VPrime Dual Mesh cartridges offer a generous 6 mL capacity, which is particularly useful considering the power levels at which they can operate.

Filling is done through an opening on the side of the cartridge. It remains accessible while the cartridge is installed on the VPrime 2, so you can refill without taking the pod apart.

• Open the filling tab
• Pour your e-liquid into the tank
• Close the opening carefully

Important: when using a new cartridge for the first time, fill the tank and then allow the coil to soak for around 10 minutes before vaping. This helps prevent the cotton from burning prematurely.

VPrime Dual Mesh cartridge compatibility

VPrime Dual Mesh cartridges were developed primarily for the OXVA VPrime 2 pod, which allows you to make use of both operating modes.

They are, however, also physically compatible with the first-generation VPrime. On that device, independent control of the two Mesh strips is not available: the cartridge operates directly with both heating elements, just like in Boost mode.

• VPrime Dual Mesh 0.4 ohm: behaves similarly to a 0.2 ohm cartridge on the first-generation VPrime
• VPrime Dual Mesh 0.6 ohm: behaves similarly to a 0.3 ohm cartridge on the first-generation VPrime

To take full advantage of the choice between Eco and Boost, the VPrime 2 therefore remains the optimal choice.

When should you replace a VPrime Dual Mesh cartridge?

As the coils are built directly into the cartridge, simply replace the whole cartridge once the Mesh reaches the end of its lifespan.

• flavours become less precise
• vapour production decreases
• an unpleasant or burnt taste appears
• the coil becomes less responsive

Simply replace the complete cartridge with a new one, fill it and allow the cotton to soak before vaping again.
