The Aegis Solo 5 box mod from Geekvape retains everything that makes the Aegis range so appealing: a rugged IP68-certified construction and a maximum output of 100W, all in a compact single-battery format that remains practical for everyday use.
This generation mainly gains versatility when it comes to power, as it now accepts a 21700 battery while remaining compatible with 18650 batteries thanks to the included adaptor. The AS Chip 4.0 controls Smart and Power modes, while the 1.08" screen and A-Lock switch make adjustment and locking easier.
Sold here on its own, the Aegis Solo 5 makes an excellent base for building your own setup with the clearomiser or atomiser of your choice.

With the Aegis Solo 5, you get the familiar rugged lines of the family, reinforced areas, a comfortable grip and that instantly recognisable silhouette that has defined Aegis devices for several generations.
Despite its 21700 compatibility, the format remains compact enough to maintain a comfortable grip (94.7 × 42.55 × 31 mm). The box therefore offers an interesting balance between battery life, power and overall size, without moving into the bulkier dimensions of a large dual-battery mod.

The Aegis Solo 5 delivers adjustable power from 5 to 100W. That range is broad enough to cover everything from a relatively relaxed RDL vape to a much more demanding DTL clearomiser.
It runs on one 21700 battery, a particularly appealing option for better battery life at higher power. If you prefer to stick with the 18650 format, the included adaptor also allows you to use that type of battery.
Warning: the battery and charging cable are not included.
Direct charging is possible via the USB-C 5V / 2A port.
Good to know: even though the box mod allows the battery to be charged directly via USB-C, we recommend using a dedicated external charger for more appropriate charging and better battery monitoring.
The Aegis Solo 5 features the AS Chip 4.0, Geekvape’s in-house chipset. It delivers excellent responsiveness while keeping the interface deliberately simple.
Two modes are available (no need for more):
Smart mode is ideal for users who want to avoid unsuitable settings, while Power mode gives more freedom to those who prefer to fine-tune their vape themselves.
The 1.08" screen lets you quickly check the essential information: selected wattage, coil resistance and battery level.
Geekvape also returns to its A-Lock switch. A simple movement is enough to fully lock the box mod before slipping it into a pocket or bag.
You can also choose to lock only the adjustment buttons while keeping the Fire button active by holding both adjustment buttons down for two seconds.
An Aegis without armour would not really be an Aegis anymore. The Solo 5 therefore retains its IP68 Tri-Proof certification, with a design intended to better resist water, dust and impacts.
It remains particularly appealing for users who work outdoors, move around a lot or simply prefer a mod that does not need to be handled with kid gloves.
Rugged obviously does not mean indestructible, but the Solo 5 is clearly designed to handle a more hectic everyday life than a conventional box mod.
The 510 connection allows you to use a wide range of clearomisers and atomisers on the market. To keep the setup looking clean and flush with the edges of the box mod, however, we recommend staying around 25 mm maximum at the base.
The natural companion is obviously the Z Subohm Tank 5. Its DTL orientation, Z Series coils and top airflow make it a particularly coherent match for the available 100W.

Because it keeps exactly what made the Solo appealing while addressing its main weakness: battery life.
The move to 21700 gives the available 100W more endurance, while the AS Chip 4.0, larger screen and return of A-Lock modernise the experience without complicating the formula.
The result is a rugged, versatile single-battery box mod with enough power to form the basis of a proper DTL setup without having to move up to a large dual-battery mod.
