The 1900 Edition, in addition to using the iconic works of Alphonse Mucha as illustrations, uses a 100% vegetable base. Propylene glycol has been replaced by du Vegetol which is a vegetable and less irritating. (More information below).

The 1900 edition of Curieux has the great particularity of not using propylene glycol, it is replaced by Vegetol. This is a very high purity ingredient guaranteed to be gluten free and allergen free. In addition to being much better for the environment, this exclusively vegetable flavor carrier vaporizes at the same temperature as nicotine, so it is a perfect vector for a constant delivery of nicotine. Vegetol also offers a better flavour reproduction compared to PG, which allows for lower flavour concentrations without reducing the flavour. The vegetal is a component less irritating, the hit is well present but in the long term, the throat remains less solicited.
